Offshore began in the late 1970s as a sailing and windsurfing shop just a stone's throw from Wrigley Field in Chicago. Over the years, we left the city behind and migrated to the northern suburb as the store grew and changed, to the point where Offshore is now the largest Chicago-area dealer for high-quality inflatable boats and kayaks, selling hundreds of boats every year.

Customer service is the name of the game in our business, so when you come in to our store, expect to get friendly and courteous advice from a seasoned professional salesperson. Our retailing philosophy seeks to find the best values in the market, looking for the boats that we think offer the best combinations of quality of design and build, and value for the money.

All of our shipments go out on UNITED PARCEL SERVICE. If an in-stock item is ordered, it'll go out by the next business day at the latest. Because of our midwestern location, most items will be received at your door within 4 or 5 days of ordering.

Illinois/Michigan/Indiana/Wisconsin delivery on RIBs, kayaks, and canoes is available - please contact us for details and a delivery quote. In addition, certain RIBs can be shipped to locations outside the midwest, depending on your location. Please email us or call us toll-free for additional info.

We offer beginning and advanced KAYAKING CLASSES during the spring and summer months, taught at Big Bear Lake, just a half mile west of our store. Our Basic Class will give you the tools you need to get out there and have fun safely.
