| For many people, a Recreational Touring Kayak will offer the best of all options. Rec Touring boats are shorter than full open water touring boats, making them both lighter and easier to manuever in tight situations. At the same time, they are more efficient and more seaworthy than shorter Recreational boats. Rec Touring boats have at least one and sometimes two dry storage compartments, a fuller complement of deck rigging, and a more tailored fit in the cockpit, allowing you to handle the boats quite well in a variety of conditions.
